Welcome to My Practice

“Love is the best medicine.” Xiaotian Shen, a fourth-generation Chinese Medicine practitioner, grew up immersed in conversations about healing philosophies and medicine. These discussions at home instilled in him a deep love for his cultural heritage and its healing potential. Shen is particularly drawn to the philosophical aspects of Chinese medicine, appreciating its unique perspective on the universe and its rich historical roots.

After obtaining his MD in China, Shen went on to teach acupuncture and herbal medicine at two Chinese colleges. He also practiced traditional Chinese medicine as a doctor at the Teaching Hospital of Chengdu College of Medical Continuing Education. Driven by his intellectual curiosity and a fascination with global cultures and medicine, Shen ventured to Jerusalem, where he earned a Master of Public Health degree.

Shen is not only a frequent presenter at national and international conferences but also actively engages with local hospitals and universities. His scholarly presentations showcase his expertise in various critical areas, including diabetes, multiple sclerosis, emotional care, pain management, women’s health, and herbal safety.

Shen has been a member of the AOMA family since 1999, serving as a dedicated professor and practitioner. He has also been professionally active at the national level. Shen actively supports the broader profession by contributing to professional journals, participating in ongoing research projects, and serving on the NCCAOM Exam Writing Committee. In this esteemed role, he worked with colleagues to develop critical questions for national licensure examinations. In addition, Dr. Shen upholds safety standards by serving as a certified examiner for the Clean Needle Techniques examination, ensuring that practitioners adhere to proper needling practices.

In his current practice, Shen specializes in various medical areas, including pain management, neurological disorders, autoimmune disease treatment, digestive health, psycho-emotional care, and addressing reproductive concerns, etc.

Beyond medicine, Shen finds joy in outdoor activities, cooking, travel, photography, and exploring technology.
